رمضان(रमज़ान) में मलेशिया

स्थानीय अभिवादन: Selamat berpuasa

Ramadan in Malaysia is a month-long cultural experience that transforms the country. Known as Bulan Ramadan, the holy month is embraced not just by the Malay Muslim majority but also appreciated by the multiethnic population as a time of communal warmth and spectacular food culture.

The most distinctive feature of Malaysian Ramadan is the bazaar Ramadan, open-air food markets that appear in every town and city each afternoon. Over 1,500 Ramadan bazaars operate across the country, selling an extraordinary variety of foods: ayam percik, murtabak, nasi kerabu, tepung pelita, kuih-muih in dozens of varieties, and the iconic air bandung and air sirap. These bazaars are social gathering points where Malaysians of all backgrounds shop.

The tradition of breaking fast together is deeply important. Hotels and restaurants offer elaborate buffet buka puasa spreads, and mosques distribute free iftar packets. The moreh, a post-Tarawih supper at the mosque, is a community bonding tradition unique to Malaysian Islam.

Malaysian television airs special Ramadan programming, including religious talk shows, cooking competitions, and telemovies. The month also sees a surge in religious activity, with Quran recitation classes, religious lectures, and intensive worship during the last ten nights. The countdown to Hari Raya Aidilfitri builds excitement as the month progresses.

परिचय رمضان(रमज़ान)
