🌈 Holi Color Throwing

उद्गम: South Asia

During Holi, participants drench each other in vibrant gulal powders and coloured water fired from pichkaris (water guns) and water balloons in an exuberant outdoor celebration. The tradition recalls Krishna's playful colour games with Radha and the village women, and also marks the arrival of spring. The most intense celebrations occur around Mathura and Vrindavan in India, where streets become rivers of magenta, yellow, and green.
