🔥 Lohri Bonfire Gathering

起源: South Asia

Lohri is a Punjabi harvest and winter solstice festival in which communities gather around large outdoor bonfires at nightfall, tossing sesame seeds, jaggery, gajak, and popcorn into the flames as offerings. Participants dance the bhangra and gidda, sing traditional folk songs, and share food with neighbours. The festival holds special significance for newly married couples and newborn children, for whom a first Lohri is a major family celebration.
