💦 Songkran Water Festival
起源: Southeast Asia
Songkran, the Thai New Year celebrated in April, is famous for its nationwide water fights in which strangers drench each other with buckets and water guns in city streets as a joyful expression of blessing and purification. The water symbolically washes away bad luck from the previous year. Religious observances include visiting temples, pouring scented water over Buddha images, and bathing the hands of elders to show respect.
