🌕 Chuseok Family Homecoming

유래: East Asia

Chuseok, the Korean harvest festival, triggers the largest mass migration in South Korea as millions travel to their ancestral home towns to reunite with extended family. The three-day holiday involves ancestral rites (charye), sharing of traditional foods including songpyeon (half-moon rice cakes), and visits to family graves. Traffic queues stretch for hundreds of kilometres as the entire nation moves simultaneously, making Chuseok the most logistically significant public holiday in Korea.
