📜 Passover Seder

The Passover Seder is a structured ritual meal held on the first two nights of Pesach in which Jewish families retell the story of the Exodus from Egypt using a text called the Haggadah. The Seder plate holds symbolic foods: bitter herbs (maror) for slavery's bitterness, charoset for mortar, roasted lamb shank for the Paschal sacrifice, and more. Four cups of wine are consumed at prescribed points throughout the several-hour ceremony, which ends with song and the declaration 'Next year in Jerusalem'.
