These meticulously crafted displays feature traditional dance groups, architectural replicas, and cultural themes, providing a visual tour of India's extraordinary diversity. Children from across the country, selected as National Bravery Award winners, ride on elephant or vehicle-mounted platforms.

Republic Day celebrations extend well beyond Delhi. State capitals host their own parades with gubernatorial flag hoisting. Schools organize flag ceremonies, patriotic songs, and cultural programs. The Beating Retreat ceremony on January 29, held at Vijay Chowk near Parliament, marks the end of the Republic Day celebrations with a spectacular display of military band performances as the sun sets. The three-day celebration period fills New Delhi with patriotic fervor and cultural pride.
