Nowruz, the Persian New Year celebrated on the spring equinox, brings together families and communities across Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia, and diaspora populations worldwide for a two-week period of house visits, outdoor picnics, and cultural performances. The holiday transcends national and religious boundaries, observed by Muslims, Zoroastrians, Bahais, and secular communities alike.
